“Darkness there and nothing more” – Edgar Allen Poe

Is oddly enough, a good introduction to this must see book store.

Run by a husband and wife team, they made their dream of running a bookstore come true in the little town of Beaufort, SC.

It’s riddled with Poe theme items, such as a fake raven, and the book itself around the cozy book store. Paired with other oddities and steam punk style decor, such skeletons, street lamps, etc.

But if you’re not a big Poe fan this book store as more than enough to offer. From boxes upon boxes classic Jazz records to the whole Harry Potter series to an all you need to know book on Kate Spade, it has something for everyone.

The little store as huge gothic windows on the street side facing Craven St – unsure if they recently moved over to this street from their prior location just to be on Craven St yet another Poe reference, but I’ll let my imagination believe so.
